| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Official name | Phu Quoc International Airport |
| Vietnamese name | Cảng Hàng Không Quốc Tế Phú Quốc |
| Airport code | PQC |
| Distance from city center | About 10 km from Duong Dong |

Facilities
Free Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire terminal — arrivals, departures, and the lounge. Connect to PQC_Free_WiFi. No email or phone registration required, and there is no time limit.
SIM Cards
SIM card stalls are easy to find near the airport entrance. If you did not pick one up before flying, buy one here before heading into the city.
For a breakdown of Vietnam SIM card options and pricing, see our Vietnam SIM Card Guide.
ATM
Several bank ATMs are installed at the airport, but the only one accessible without going through security is the BIDV ATM near the 1F entrance. All other ATMs are past the security checkpoint in the departure zone.
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Location | 1F entrance area — accessible immediately on arrival |
| Withdrawal limit | 3,000,000 VND per transaction |
| Fee | 40,000 VND per transaction |
| Cards accepted | Visa, Mastercard, JCB |
| Hours | 24 hours |
VP Bank ATMs, which typically charge no fees, are not available at the airport — but there are some in the city center if you are staying longer and want to avoid fees.
Currency Exchange
Three currency exchange counters operate at the airport — one in arrivals, two in the departure zones.
| Location | Where exactly | Currencies |
|---|---|---|
| Arrivals | Near the baggage claim area | USD, EUR, KRW, SGD, JPY |
| Domestic departures | Past security, opposite Gate 10 | USD, EUR, CNY, THB |
| International departures | Duty-free zone near Gate 7 | USD, EUR, KRW, JPY, AUD |
On arrival, exchange only enough for transport to your hotel. Rates at the airport are rarely the best — city center banks and ATMs are generally more favorable for larger amounts. If you have leftover dong on departure, the international counter near Gate 7 can handle that too.

Phu Quoc Airport has three lounges.

Grab (Recommended)
Grab is the most practical option for getting around Phu Quoc. Install the app before you arrive.
For a full guide on using Grab in Vietnam, see our Vietnam Grab Guide.

Where to Get Your Grab at the Airport
Grab drivers cannot stop in front of the terminal — they wait in the parking lot across the road. If you call a Grab from the terminal entrance, you and the driver will have trouble finding each other.

- Walk to the parking lot entrance (not the terminal drop-off area)
- Open the app and request your Grab from there
- Confirm your location with the driver, then wait at the parking lot entrance
Taxi
Taxis are the simplest option if you do not want to use an app. Vietnamese airports attract unlicensed drivers, so use the official booth.

Look for the red Mai Linh booth just outside the terminal exit. A staff member will be standing there — tell them your destination, show your hotel address, and they handle everything from there. No Vietnamese needed.
Airport Transfer Services
For groups or travelers who prefer a confirmed pickup, pre-booked transfer services are available through hotels or platforms like Klook.
Hotel Pickup
Most hotels on Phu Quoc offer airport pickup. What the hotel does is book a transfer on your behalf and charge a margin on top — so the convenience is real, but the price is not the most competitive. The main advantage is accountability: if something goes wrong, you have the hotel to follow up with.
Klook
Klook is a well-established platform for booking tours and transfers across Southeast Asia. Many local Vietnamese transfer operators now list on Klook directly, which makes it easy to compare options and book without navigating a Vietnamese-language site.

Prices vary depending on vehicle size. Compare the hotel quote against Klook before deciding.
